ISRO , Indian space & research organization has launched Bhuvan, a satellite mapping tool similar to Google Earth and Wikimapia. According to them, Bhuvan offers resolution up to 5 metres and is said to be a competitor to Google Earth.

With Bhuvan, you can Access, explore and visualise 2D and 3D image data along with rich thematic information on Soil, wasteland, water resources etc.
